Welcome again to another edition of our Patch 4.3 Newsletter. This
time around I will be talking a little about the awesome new 5 Man
dungeons in Patch 4.3, specifically the End Time instance.

If you’re like the thousands of players worldwide who have found it
tough keeping up with all the new changes in Patch 4.3, then I urge
you to watch this video:

New 5-Mans for Patch 4.3 – End Time, Well of Eternity, and Hour of

Twilight

Question from Stefan

Hi Tony,

I bought WoW Crusher through the recommendation of a friend and
I’ve been suitably impressed to date with it so far. Anyways, I was
wondering if you could talk about the new 5-mans that were
introduced in patch 4.3 a bit? How about a short End Time
walkthrough? Thanks!

Hi Stefan,

Sure, I'll be glad to describe some basic details about the first
one, End Time, and a few strategy hints, too. These 5-mans are
pretty exciting both because they've got some good drops, and
because they're leading up to the last battle of Cataclysm, too.

The fight against Deathwing in the final raid of this expansion,
also released in this patch, is the most epic moment of Cataclysm,
when the heroes of Azeroth take on the mad, god-like dragon whose
wrathful passage across the world shattered it at the moment of the
expansion's release. The three new five-mans in Patch 4.3 are meant
to provide a grim, dramatic prelude to the final boss fight, and
give you a taste of things to come if you manage to get into a
raiding guild.

This foreboding but exciting trio of 5 man heroic instances starts
with End Time. This dungeon is a new Caverns of Time instance, and,
like the other instances here, shows an alternate timeline that
your characters must prevent from happening by defeating the bosses
in the instance.

End Time transports your characters to a future where Deathwing has
prevailed and blasted the world to ash. Deathwing himself is dead
in this future, with his corpse crumpled on Wyrmrest Temple. The
rest of the dungeon takes place in the future Dragonblight from
Northrend, now a charred area of lifeless ruins. Killing the final
boss allows your characters to go back in time to retrieve the
Dragon Soul and thus save the world from becoming a burned-out husk.

From a gameplay perspective, the first two bosses you face off
against are randomly chosen specters of long-dead Azerothian
heroes, known as Echoes. There are four Echoes available as bosses
for this dungeon, and two are chosen at random to be the first two
bosses of End Time. The four echoes are –

·         Echo of Baine – this undead tauren chieftain must be kept
in motion and keeping your characters out of the magma. The Throw
Totem power knocks a character back, but the totem can be hurled
back to stun and damage Baine for 5% of his total health by
clicking on it, then targeting the ground at his feet.

·         Echo of Jaina – this echo is a mage/caster type boss, who
can only be summoned by collecting sixteen pieces of her broken
staff first. Interrupting Jaina's Frostbolt Volley ability is key
to defeating her, and the Flarecore which she creates needs to be
touched by a single character or it will explode after a short time
and heavily damage the group. Jaina's unique loot includes a caster
staff and a healer's shield.

·         Echo of Sylvanas – a ranger-type boss, this echo summons
adds and uses both targeted and are of effect (AoE) ranged attacks.
Keep your ranged DPS well spaced out, and make sure to move out of
AoE effects immediately, since they are quickly lethal. Sylvanas'
unique drops include a cloak and bow which are useful both for
rangers and rogues (Agility and Stamina).

-     The add phase is the most deadly part of this fight, since
you will find your group gathered into the middle of a contracting
ring of ghouls. Once these shambling wrecks reach Sylvanas, they
will explode and kill anyone nearby. The ghouls are connected by
ribbons of damaging energy. The method of surviving this phase is
to kill a ghoul, flee through the gap, and stay as far away as
possible until the remaining ghouls detonate.

·         Echo of Tyrande – Tyrande is another caster boss, and
correspondingly dangerous to deal with. The chamber where the fight
takes place is infested with numerous lesser enemies, who must be
tanked into the moonbeams scattered around the chamber, since the
darkness provides them with 90% damage reduction. Once the room is
cleared, the Echo spawns. It is necessary to keep in motion and
evade various effects while fighting Tyrande, and save your
cooldowns for the 30% health mark, when Tyrande invokes the mass
DoT Tears of Elune. A caster axe and a cloth caster chest are the
two unique drops that Tyrande may have.

The final boss at the Bronze Dragonshrine is Murozond, a talkative
dragon whose name is an anagram of Nozdormu. This boss spawns
numerous Distortion Bombs, which are large yellow circles that
explode and leave a sheet of damaging flame behind on the ground;
move out of the circles immediately. Murozond's breath is lethal,
meaning he must be turned away from the group, but he will also
strike backwards with his tail, so flank attacks are best.

Murozond uses a power called Temporal Snapshot, and a large
hourglass appears on the battlefield which you can click on to
reset conditions to exactly what they were when the last Temporal
Snapshot occurred, with the sole exception of Murozond's health.
Each player can click the hourglass a maximum of five times. Since
all cooldowns are reset, too, you can use your valuable cooldowns
multiple times during each fight, a unique and rather enjoyable
feature.

P.S. Worried about how you're ever going to dominate the
competition with so much that is going on right now in WoW? No
doubt, it’s one of the biggest concerns I hear from my fellow
readers who don’t have much time to play the game.

If you’d like to know a play the game just like the pros and do it
without cheating and spending time you can ill afford, then here’s
what I suggest:
