Getting 10,000 Gold in 1 Week the Easy Way

So, you want to get rich fast? What’s new? Everyone else in World of
Warcraft wants the same thing – yet most of them don’t even get close
to 10,000 gold at one time after years of play. So, what can a player
with no gold and minimal resources do to start making gold hand over
fist in as little as a week? There are a few strategies that can help,
but they require a great deal of care and attention to the necessary
skills that come with elite farming and auction house work.

1.    Mining and Herbalism

The easiest way to make gold in World of Warcraft is with mining or
herbalism. You can choose to pick up both, but most players will have
at least one crafting profession to go along with them, making their
lives a bit easier in the process. For those truly interested in raking
in huge dough however, Mining and herbalism are the best place to start.

To get going, make sure that you can log on at a time when your server
is light on players. This might be 3am for some people or 2pm for
others. But, don’t walk into an overcrowded farming fest or you’ll
never get your gold stash built up.

Head to Icecrown if you
are a miner or Sholazar Basin if you are an herbalist. Start doing
loops around these two zones. Miners should stay in the northern half
of the zone, following a similar loop to the two airships. Herbalists
should stay close to the water in Sholazar and if they have mining,
walk around the pillars throughout the zone to get the mining nodes
there.

Ideally, miners should be able to get between 300 and
800 gold an hour from Titanium nodes and Saronite Nodes, assuming they
are without too much competition. Herbalists should be able to get
between 200 and 400 gold an hour from Icethorn and Lichbloom with
occasional Frost Lotus spawns.

2.    Auction House

Once you have farmed your materials, it’s time to start selling it.
This is where your Auction House skills need to come in handy. Make
sure to have Auctioneer installed and scan the Auction House a few
times before doing anything. Once you get the hang of a good cycle,
when the prices go up for your reagents, use that time to sell.

Usually, the best time to sell ore is in the early afternoon, before
everyone gets home and needs their reagents, and well before the other
farmers go out and start selling. Herbalists should aim for a couple of
hours before raiders get on and start creating their flasks – usually
between 4pm-6pm server time.

Ideally, you should be able to
get as much as 150% of the normal value for your ore and herbs by
selling at peak hours and holding at trough hours. If you follow this
strategy, as simple as it sounds and manage to get good runs in 6
nights a week, you can have 10,000 gold in one week – easy as that.
