- Ensidia Adds Another World First to Their Repertoire
- That's right, folks, the world's number one super guild has claimed
another world first as they were the first ones to take down 25 man
Algalon! They posted to their site stating, "The fight is not an easy one and is highly gear dependent with a significant increase in difficulty over the 10-man version". To take a look at the sweet loot drops they got for their efforts, check out their victory screenshot. Congrats to Ensidia for their accomplishment, but I do wonder what they're going to do until 3.2 comes out?! - The Warrior That Did Not Die - So, I read something I thought was pretty darn crazy this week! There is a Human Warrior named Cautious
on Kirin Tor who leveled all the way from 1-80 without ever dying!
That's right...zero deaths, zip, zilch, nada! I keep saying this
because it is so hard to believe, after all I die like every 10 minutes
while in my early teens when I level a character! There is no
achievement for this in the game right now, but I wouldn't be surprised
if Blizz adds one to award her for her accomplishment! - Blizzard Accepts Guinness Awards
- Mike Morhaime and Paul Sams were both in attendance at last week's E3
conference. They were there to accept awards for making it to the
gaming edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. World of Warcraft
picked up the award for the most popular MMORPG in the world with more
than 12 million players and Starcraft gained recognition for being the
best selling PC strategy game with 9.5 million copies sold worldwide!
We're sure these plaques will look awesome on the wall of the
over-crowded trophy room at Blizzard HQ. - Comic Corner
- As usual there were some things out there on the intarwebs that
tickled my funny bone this week, so here we go...the first is from Experience Points and it depicts a gamers dilemma I mean with so many cool options, it's so hard to choose! The next one comes to us from NoObz
and it does an amazing job of poking fun at all the damn gankers out
there...I love it!! The next one is from NPC (of course) and it
certainly will hit home for any female gamers out there (like me). It's
called Booth Studs and I want to know why we don't have them, too! Ok, and last but not least the new Working Daze is pretty funny as it shows how our gaming life and real life tend to morph together all too often! - World First Val'Anyr - Snuggleme, a resto Druid of Avant Garde on Kil'jaeden has crafted the uber-stupendous healing mace, Val'Anyr. Now, as many of you know, this is no small feat! For this mace to be yours, you have to collect the Fragments of Val'Anyr
which drop from bosses in 25-man Ulduar then you have to throw the
combined collection of fragments at Yogg'Saron while fighting him when
he casts "Deafening Roar" (which he only does on hard-mode), after that
you have to defeat Yogg and the mace is yours! Not easy to do, so
congrats to Snuggleme on the receipt of the uber gear! - SK Gaming Wins MLG Columbus
- SK Gaming has added yet another win to their list defeating eMazing
Gaming in the 3 v 3 tournament hosted by Major League Gaming (MLG) on
June 7th in Columbus, Ohio. They took home the 9k grand prize in the
first leg of the summer-long battle by nudging out the competition 6-3
in a best of 11 battle...congrats to them! We will continue to follow
the coverage of the MLG pro-circuit tour and bring you all of the
latest! - Wowhead Founder Receives In-Game Honor
- With the arrival of patch 3.1 there came a new NPC on Scryer's Tier
in Shattrath City named Loremaster Skosiris. Well, Skosiris is the name
of the founder of everyone's favorite WoW data site, wowhead.com. This
is a fitting tribute as the new NPC is a librarian in charge of looking
after a host of bookshelves which serve as trainers for all primary and
secondary professions. So suiting, don't you think?
