  • Background Downloader Enabled - Players logging on
this week likely noticed the background downloader was running and delivered a
nearly 450mb pre-patch file. This caused many to speculate that Patch 3.3 would
be hitting live servers today, however we received confirmation last night that
it was not. Blizzard poster, Zarhym stated that they don't consider dropping a
major patch right before a long holiday weekend something they want to do. So,
we will have to eat our turkey and fixings this weekend without any 3.3
    awesomeness.
  • 3.3 PTR Updated Patch Notes - The 3.3 patch notes
have been updated! These latest changes will likely make most Rogues and
Warlocks happy as they are receiving some much due attention. There are also a
whole slew of new bug fixes. Check out the latest version of the notes on our
    blog.
  • Blizzard Releases Bosstiary for Frozen Halls -
Surrounding the live release of Ulduar, Blizzard released what they called a
Bosstiary which gave you details you don't get in-game like the exact origin of
the bosses what they are doing where they are and why you must fight them. Now
Blizz has released the same thing for The Frozen Halls, patch 3.3's collection
of new Icecrown 5-man dungeons. The latest Bosstiary serves as an encyclopedia of sorts for the various
bosses in these dungeons complete with maps indicating boss positions and all
the info you need to know exactly who you're fighting and why they must be
    destroyed!
  • Shadowmourne is Revealed - The latest PTR build
revealed the stats for the game's newest Legendary weapon, Shadowmourne. The
notable features include a +223 strength bonus, 344.1 base DPS, three red
sockets and a pretty sweet proc. The sockets combined and socketed with a Bold
Cardinal Ruby each will yeild an impressive 68 additional strength and the proc
stacks for up to 360 additional strength before firing off a damage effect and
resetting to 0. Needless to say, this Item Level 284 axe is the BEST two-handed
melee weapon Warcraft has seen to date!
  • Comic Corner - The newsletters have been getting
pretty lengthy, so I have decided to move the Comic Corner over to our blog.
Each week I will still put this section in the newsletter, but all the awesome
belly-laugh links will be posted in the blog entry. So head on over to the blog to see the latest from favorites like Dark Legacy, NoObz,
    NPC and more!
  • New Epic Ammo on the PTR - Some good news coming
for Hunters with patch 3.3 in the form of new craftable epic ammo. The new Iceblade Arrows and
    Shatter Rounds
are both available right now on the PTR to engineers who are honored with the
Ashen Verdict (the new Icecrown Faction). Both of these add a whopping 91.5
damage to ranged weapon DPS and are BoE, so all you need is an engineer buddy
and some pretty cheap mats and you can have yourself some epic ammo awesomeness!
  • Lots of New PvE Items Arriving With 3.3 - It seems
that with each and every patch Blizzard sets out to outdo themselves on the new
items front. With patch 3.1 we were all oooing and awwwing over the fact that
with the release of the Argent Tournament and Ulduar there were about 800 new
PvE items added to the game. Well, that number pales in comparison to the 1400
that are coming with Patch 3.3! While the most impressive item is, of course, Shadowmourne, I must
say that as a pretty much PvE only player the thought of 1400 more items makes
me all warm and fuzzy inside!
  • Movie of the Week - This is another section I have
decided to move off to the blog in the interest of saving space and trimming
down the size of our newsletters. I have a couple movies this week for Warcraft
fans and I think everyone will enjoy them, so head on over to the blog and take a peak!
  • Armored Frost Wyrm Mounts From Icecrown - Blizzard
poster Ancilorn confirmed this week in a Post on the WoW EU Forums that the previously data-mined
Armored Frost Wirm Mounts will be rewards doled out to dedicated Icecrown
raiders in 3.3's live release. Assumably these will be earned much in the same
way as Ulduar Drakes, for completing an Icecrown meta-acheivement. The Frost
Wyrm will offer it's rider a 310% increase in flying speed!
  • Pilgrim's Bounty is Here! - WoW's new holiday,
Pilgrim's Bounty, is now live on all realms offering players the opportunity to
stuff themselves with festive food in pursuit of the Pilgrim title and the super
adorable turkey pet (awww). I think this holiday was well done by Blizzard with
the abundance of holiday related mobs and plentiful cooking recipes. This one is
however not part of the What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been meta-acheivement so
I wonder if it will get the attention it deserves? I would definitely suggest
    you check it out!
